Sparks Group is partnering with a global leader in consumer transaction technologies to hire a skilled C++ Software Engineer III to join their team in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA.
This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new features for their Convenience, Fuel, and Retail (CFR) technology solutions. This is a critical role in shaping the future of the industry, building highly reliable, scalable, and configurable software used by millions daily.
Employment Term: 1 Year Contract
Location: 100% onsite in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA depending upon nearest location.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new product features and modifications to existing ones.
- Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests for new and existing code.
- Collaborate with the Customer Care team to resolve software issues.
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and work estimates.
- Provide input into release management decisions.
- Drive issues to effective resolution and find solutions to complex problems.
- Mentor team members and conduct code and test reviews.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to quality, best practices, and data security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Visual Studio.
- 5+ years of C++ experience in a Windows environment.
- Proficiency in modern C++ standards (C++ 11 and above).
- Experience producing technical designs for software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with Payment Processors and devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software systems.
- Agile Development experience.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is a plus.
